II.21. Exercise 21 - Funnel Lead Introduction

20/11/2019 - 08:01 pm - Funnel Lead Introduction.

Today, we worked on the funnel lead technique, so we had to make a small introduction, in which the supporting ideas go from the most general to the most specific idea:

Topic Sentence : Having a long day of classes to learn more may seem fine, but in fact it only has bad consequences on the students' daily lives.

Supporting Idea more general : Class days with 6 or 8 hours leave less time for students to do their homework during the day or activities they have to do that take time.

Supporting Idea less general : If the school days are long and if they do everything they have to do after school, they have shorter nights and accumulate fatigue.

Supporting Idea more specific : With so many hours of classes and fatigue, students are quickly stressed, less efficient and less focused on classes and the rest of their day.

Thesis statement : The negative effects on students' daily lives evolve with the increase of the number of hours of classes per day. The poor students are going to feel without enough time, very tired and not focused. This is clearly not a good option to achieve the success and fulfillment of these students.
