II.15. Exercise 15 - Comparison and Contrast - Argumentative paragraph

Today, we had to brainstorm positive and negative points on a given subject, before exchanging with our classmate. Below, it's what my classmate gave me (who collected the important points to make a paragraph horizontally/point by point).

From this, I created my argumentative paragraph with contrast (point by point) on the given subject. 

        Nowadays, a debate is growing around the fact that some employees are allowed to work from home. First of all, working at home play an important role on the use of time of the employees. It could be  really benefic, because you don’t have time spent commuting to work and you can choose your timetable. On another hand it’s an inequality with the personn who have to deplace themselves to work and mostly most of people are less effective when they work from their houses. 

We can also speak about the focusing of employees who could work from their homes. Obviously, they work with more silence ans tranquility, but it’s possible only if you don’t have children, animals or somethings which distract you in your home. We can add a good point to this topic, speaking about environment, because when you work in your home, you don’t use your car or the transports to go to work and it allow a decrease of the cars’use, so of the contamination. According to a serious French study by INSEE (February 2019), 70% of workers use their cars to get to work, which is a major contributor to air pollution. A more bad aspect can be around the social, because work at home decreases the social contacts and relations. According to a study, 47% of employees say they go to work to maintain a social bond (M. Courtois, 2018), so we can see that this counts and gradually disappears with working from home. To conclude, there are good and bad aspects to the fact that some employees should be permitted to work from home, in particular if we speak about the use of time, focusing, the social relation or the environment.
