II.2. Exercise 2 - Pre-writing process - step brainstorming

26/09/2019 - 5:40 pm - pre-writing process - step brainstorming.

Today we have been working on the second step of the pre-writing process: brainstorming.

1- Freewriting around the topic "Is it really a step forward to teach children through tablets in school ?" (from the general topic Technology)   :

Today, technology is everywhere in our daily lives. We even find them at school for the children, to help them to learn. I think that isn't a step forward to teach children through tablets in school, I even think that it can be a danger for them. In first, it can give them the impression that tablets will help them in every situations for their future lives. Of course it can be useful, but in my opinion we don't have to accustom them to using tablets. Because it's going to start to learn subjects or basics things, and after they will use tablets (or cell phones) to find cooking recipes, calculate their physical activity, watch some movies, consult social networks very often, and only to pass the time. It's going to become a daily use. Today adults do it, some of them can't live without their tablets or cell phones. So we have to see that there is a problem with the use of tablets and it's our role to protect children about it. Secondly, the teachers are here to teach children things and they do it very well, the tablets and all the other technologies can never replace them. I really think that it can be useful, but more in colleges or high schools. Moreover, it's very bad to expose children to the screens, before a certain age. For all these reasons, I'm convinced that confront children to the tablets to help them to learn isn't a good thing and that we have to find better solutions.

2- Clustering around the topic "Help with local music to get to know each other abroad"(from general topic Parties):

3- Asking Questions around the topic "The development of a feeling of devaluation in the face of these models encountered in anime"(from general topic Anime):

- Who does this topic concern ?
This topic concerns all individuals who have watched animes and who are now teenagers or even young adults.

- Who is subject of my analysis ?
My subject of analysis then concerns those individuals who have idealized a hero or an anime character and who today feel devalued in front of this model that they idealized when they were children

- What is this subject accomplishing ?
This subject will allow me to understand if watching anime is positive or if on the contrary seeing characters full of qualities can become a problem when you grow up?

- What is he trying to accomplishing ?
Thus, I try to accomplish an analysis (on my own scale) of the consequences of watching anime when you are very young. It can also be interesting to see that I may be wrong, and that on the contrary it doesn't pose any problem of devaluation in adolescence or adults.

- Where/ How can the implications of this idea be seen ?
To reflect on this idea, I think it may be interesting to question young people between the ages of 15 and 25. And I think in my subject I can talk about any young person who saw animes when he was young.

- When does this idea emerge ?
This idea came to me, because today animes are more and more popular and the children who watch them are younger and younger. The animes crossed Japanese borders in the early 1980s, so my analysis can start around these dates.
